The Asset Partnership has a range of software Toolkits to help automate operational management processes.
All software Toolkits are available independently of our consulting service, with the Reliability-centred Maintenance (RCM2) and Qualitative Risk Assessment (qRA) Toolkits supported by public and in-house training programs.

RCM Toolkit

The Asset Partnership is the Australasian agent for RCMToolkit developed by Information Science Consultants for use in applying Reliability-centred Maintenance II .

Navigate through the RCM process in accordance with the SAE JA 1011 standard utilising the following features:

  • Collection of RCM Functions, functional failures, failure modes and failure effects
  • Recording of RCM consequence analysis
  • Failure Finding interval calculation library
  • Task development for through life Support Analysis
  • RCM Template library
  • Action tracking facility
  • Asset diagnostics
  • Consolidation of maintenance schedules into work packages
  • RCS Toolkit compatibility

RCMToolkit is available in network or stand alone versions, and can be purchased by organisations with Facilitators trained on our 10 day 'Practising RCM programme'.

RCS Toolkit

The Asset Partnership is the Australasian agent from Information Science Consultants for Reliability-centred Spares engineering spares analysis training, facilitation and support and supporting RCS Toolkit software.

The Reliability-centred Spares (RCS) Toolkit is designed to help engineers and stock analysts decide on the most appropriate stocking policy for spare parts. The Toolkit is targeted specifically at decisions involving high cost, slow moving engineering spare parts where the decision is generally whether to stock zero, one or more parts.

The Toolkit supports the full RCS process and enables engineers and stock analysts to achieve the requirements of production and maintenance at minimum cost and lowest risk.

The RCS Toolkit features:

  • Analysis of own-stock, stockless and vendor stocking options
  • Direct links to RCM data
  • Automatic stock strategy analysis
  • Full support for all RCS calculations
  • Sensitivity analysis, giving you a full range of "what-if" calculations
  • Extensive graphical and text reports
  • Single installation and multi-installation analysis

Plant Criticality Toolkit

Establishing the criticality of assets, plant, and equipment is can be an essential element in any organisation's Asset and Risk Management Strategies.

The Asset Partnership has developed the Criticality Toolkit software to assist in conducting plant criticality analysis .  It has been designed to provide a simple to operate, technically sound approach to developing a criticality profile for any industrial operation. It operates on the fundamental principle that plant criticality is the product of probability of failure occurrence and failure consequence.

Failure consequence has several components which are scored within the Toolkit:

  • Operational impact of failure
  • Likely repair costs
  • Mean time to repair
  • Presence of built in redundancy
  • Safety and environmental impact of failure

Specific scoring parameters are developed by the organisation commissioning the analysis so that each component is scored on an appropriate 'equivalent' basis.  These bespoke scoring parameters are embedded in the Toolkit by The Asset Partnership to suit each organisation.

Scoring operates on the principle of 'equivalence'.  For instance, the losses incurred by an organisation through injury of one of its personnel would be equivalent to a particular loss of production.  From a criticality perspective, environmental incidents are 'equivalent' to losses of production of a particular level or indeed a safety incident of a particular severity. This principle is explained in detail in the start-up workshop which precedes the criticality analysis process.

Criticality Toolkit runs on any IBM-compatible PC running Windows 95 or later, with a minimum 16MB of RAM and 35MB Hard disk space.

Qualitative Risk Analysis Toolkit

qRA Toolkit is available exclusively from The Asset Partnership and has been developed to assist organisations develop risk management strategies, policies, and procedures using Qualitative Risk Analysis (qRA) .

Two versions of qRA Toolkit are now available. These are based on:

  • Joint Australian and New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 4360 and AS/NZS 3931on Risk Management; or
  • NSW Department of Mineral Resources' (1997) "MDG1010 Risk Management Handbook for the Mining Industry".

QRA Toolkit software supports the QRA process and features

  • Documentation of analysis systems and subsystems
  • Documentation of hazards, effects and existing controls
  • Selection and analysis of hazards requiring additional controls
  • Relative risk calculations using the Probability/Consequence matrix
  • Documentation of additional controls, their cost/benefits and associated action plans
  • A range of standard reports for full documentation of analysis outputs to AS/NZS 4360

qRA Toolkit runs on any IBM-compatible PC running Windows 95 or later, with a minimum 16MB of RAM and 35MB Hard disk space.
