Two Day Asset Prioritisation (Plant Criticality) Facilitator Training Course

Asset Prioritisation (or the establishment of Plant Criticality) is an essential part of the up-front strategic planning required to ensure the success of a reliability initiative.  The Asset Prioritisation Facilitator Training Course helps you establish an overall strategy with a clear understanding of the risks associated with your equipment.  The Asset Prioritisation methodology is implemented through Ivara EXP Professional or EXP Enterprise software.

The objective of the Asset Prioritisation Facilitator Training Course is to provide you with the skills to facilitate an Asset Prioritisation analysis.  This methodology helps rate assets with respect to inherent and residual risk (before and after selection of maintenance strategy).  Both values are essential when managing work order backlogs and asset performance gaps as well as developing an enterprise wide reliability strategy.
The Asset Prioritisation methodology is a focusing tool to tailor a reliability initiative to your business environment.   It involves:

  • Working with management to develop criteria that define the consequences and the probability of asset failure
  • Establishing your risk tolerance levels
  • Applying the resulting guidelines to rank your assets
  • Focusing reliability improvement on the equipment most likely to impact business performance
  • Evaluating risk and consequence to a user defined criteria list.  For example: safety, environment and financial impact of equipment functional failure
  • Identification of improvement initiatives that should take priority

The Asset Prioritisation methodology not only allows you to focus on the business results that managers are accountable for achieving, it will enable you to secure commitment to projects through an objective, standardised process.
