Reliability-centred Spares Training Course

Ever wondered how to take the guesswork out of matching spares parts to maintenance needs? If so, this course is for you.

RCS is a derivative of the Reliability-centred Maintenance (RCM) process and is specifically targeted at decisions involving high cost, slow moving spares where the decision is often whether to stock zero, one or more parts. The objective of RCS is to clearly define what stock is essential for plant operation while reducing, or eliminating completely, stock that is unnecessary or can be effectively held by a vendor or other third party. Like RCM, the process provides a clear audit trail and a record of your decisions.

This course gives the delegates a clear understanding of the RCS process including:

•  The five questions of RCS
•  The RCS Decision Diagram
•  Understanding the factors that influence the spares holding decision
•  Making hold/no hold decisions without software
•  Making more complex decisions
•  Applying RCS without RCM (it is possible)

The Reliability-centred Spares process is supported by RCS Toolkit software distributed by The Asset Partnership.
